Mail Me Art is now closed for new submissions.

All work sent on or before the 1st February 2010 will be accepted. We will get all of January’s submissions up on the site and announce this month’s winner as soon as possible.

An absolutely enormous thank you is in order to everyone who has taken part in the project! There has been so much simply amazing artwork sent in. The exhibition should be brilliant

Don’t forget to keep checking back for updates and announcements about the project and exhibition!

As the 31st January is a Sunday (which makes it rather difficult to post mail art on that day!), any submissions sent on the 1st February will be accepted.

The deadline for sending mail art into the project is approaching fast, but there’s still time to get your submissions in!

We will accept all entries showing a postal service date stamp (postmark) up to and including the 31st January 2010, so as long as you post it before that date it will be included in the project.

The winning artist for November is Mercedes Lagunas, with her bold seaside-themed artwork. Mercedes has won a Nik Scarlett limited edition print and a signed copy of the book Mail Me Art: Going Postal with the World’s Best Illustrators and Designers. Infectious have very generously donated two iPod Touch skins as prizes for December and January. One has been designed by Jon Burgerman, the other by Zeptonn. These will be sent to our winners along with the book Mail Me Art: Going Postal with the World’s Best Illustrators and Designers.

Rebecca Horwood’s wonderfully intricate piece of mail art is our October winner. Rebecca will receive a signed limited edition print from Catalina Estrada and a signed copy of the book Mail Me Art: Going Postal with the World’s Best Illustrators and Designers. Our winner for July is Carla Berrocal, with her wrestlers! This month’s prize is a Knuckle Bear Qee, an original painting by Livia Coloji, an item of hand-made jewellery from All Those 3hrees, and (of course!) a signed copy of the book Mail Me Art: Going Postal with the World’s Best Illustrators and Designers.

Mail Me Art 2 is now open for submissions! Following the success of the first project, we are looking forward to having just as much fun with Mail Me Art 2. This second project will run for around 6 months and there will again be a monthly prize, along with another exhibition at the end (if we get enough submissions!). There might even be another book, depending on the success of the current one…
