This piece has to be one of my favorite and I can’t believe it made it all the way from the United States with out being stolen. I’ve been a fan of Dan May’s work for a long time now. He was one of the first artists I interviewed for the LCS all the way back in September 2006. If there was ever an artist’s work that should be seen in person, that would be the work of Dan May. If I ever get the chance I will be going to one of his exhibitions. His mail art will be on display and for sale at the Mail Me Art Exhibition.
You can seen more of Dan’s work at dan-may.com and you can read the LCS interview I did with him here.

inspiring work and idea.
are you still accepting postal art? let me know…
We are no longer accepting submissions for Mail Me Art One, but we’ll be starting Mail Me Art Two shortly after the exhibition. Join the LCS newsletter in the right-hand column to keep up-to-date.
Hey Darren. I had the pleasure of seeing Dan’s work this past weekend at Definition Gallery in Baltimore. The line up had Dan May, Jason Limon, Colin Johnson, Chris Ryniac and other heavy hitters. I too have been a fan and follow his posts on his Flickr, but to see his stuff in person just blew me away. That boy has a serious gift. He and Jason were there and we talked a good while. Really nice guys. I had to travel 2 hours from south Jersey to be there and it was worth every minute!
That’s a nice line up!
oh my god. i wish i can have that mail..
