An Exhibition of Mail Art the Red Gate Gallery 3rd April until 9th April 2009 2.30pm-6.30pm Title: Mail Me Art Sub-title: Going postal with the world's best illustrators and designers Introduction Mail Me Art is a British-based project, run by Darren Di Lieto, the founder and co-editor of the illustration news portal the Little Chimp Society. Contributions have included work by internationally-renowned illustrators such as Dan May, Michael Slack, Jon Burgerman, Kristian Olson, Catalina Estrada and Jeff Miracola. The 2007 project attracted in excess of 600 artwork submissions. Information The Mail Me Art exhibition will be held during April 2009 (3rd April - 9th April) at the Red Gate Gallery in London. The exhibition will showcase a vast collection of artistic work sent in the form of mail by both professional and amateur artists of all ages from across the world as part of the 2007 Mail Me Art project. Artwork incorporating a wide variety of media, used in an equally diverse range of styles, will be on display and will include everything from postcards and envelopes to boxes and pieces of wood. All of the work submitted to the Mail Me Art project will be exhibited and available for purchase. The Mail Me Art book published by HOW Books, which accompanies the project, will also be available to buy at the event.
